Christmas 2008

Beings that we are falling behind on our blogs, i felt that for my first entry on our family sight that i would just skip ahead and do Christmas while its still fresh. This year as with everyone else, money was a little tighter then past years, but I think we still managed to have a pretty good time. We started off by getting the most perfect Christmas tree i think i have ever seen, then continued on to do a pretty good job of decorating the house. We made a ginger bread house, and hung garland, and decorated our tree very nicely. unfortunately our tree decided not to consume any water, so its rather dry already just a day after Christmas.


We had the opportunity to go to several community functions, including a Christmas party for my national guard group, a church sponsored nativity display, and the annual nelson cousins and friends Christmas party held on Christmas eve.



our Christmas day was really nice beings that it is really the first Christmas that Daphne was able to participate in, and since i got to spend last Christmas in Iraq, it was the first time i got to be with her for Christmas. with Em and Baden preparing to move south, we decided that purchasing some of the boy's old toys would help both of our families out, so we had a very nice recycled Christmas. luckily a girl of Daphne's age does not care one way or the other, toys are toys are toys, and she proceeded to have a blast with her new bowling set (were thinking about getting her into a league) and playing with her new tool set. in addition to all of her new wonderful toys, she got two new baby Einsteins which she is trying to watch back to back 24/7 if we would let her. the only thing left to do is tear all of our decor down in time to jump on a plane to Utah in three days:) well that's about the long and short of the Christopherson family Christmas this year, tune in next year for more fun filled yuletide greetings
